There’s lots of fun to be had with Hurricanes Swimming Club!
Unfortunately, because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, there will be no swimming lessons at Hurricanes until further notice.
The Hurricanes Swimming Club was established in 1998, and is currently based at Hellesdon High School in Norwich.
We've now re-started lessons at Drayton Junior School as the pool is operational again.
We are a non-competitive swimming club with the aim of providing an enjoyable experience which includes water confidence, stroke techniques, and water safety within a controlled safe environment for children aged 3.5 years upwards, Beginner to Improver levels.
The club is run jointly by Denise Bale and Jo Hamilton, who have a wealth of experience between them over many years, of swimming, teaching and lifeguarding.
Class sizes are kept to a minimum with all our teachers ASA Qualified and CRB checked.
Distance, Water Skills, and National Swim Awards are completed throughout the year, along with survival, water safety and rescue techniques at certain times during the year.
In all Beginners Classes there will be a teacher/assistant teacher in the water.
As of January 2015, Hurricanes is now a validated Childrens University Learning Destination.
